Jamawar means "grown piece," and is the trade and technical term for a long shawl or shawl cloth. The technique of weaving jamawars was brought to India in the 15th century. Rather, they must simply be laid flat to dry. Once the jamawars are dry, they can then be pressed using an iron, with a piece of cloth or paper placed between the fabric and iron.
